Answer: You don’t need lots of comments to have successful posts on social media, but if you want to encourage conversation, hear feedback, and potentially get good reviews from customers, more comments can help! Having a strong call-to-action (or CTA) on your posts can be key to getting comments, and especially to getting relevant and helpful comments. For example, if you’d like to start a general conversation about your products, your CTA might be “What is your favorite product? Tell us in the comments!” If you’d like more specific feedback, your CTA might look more like “Sound off in the comments with the good and the bad about this product.”
If you’re already getting a few comments, make sure you’re also responding to comments that come in. Your responses don’t have to be elaborate, but it can make a commenter feel more special to know that they are being acknowledged.
