
Many businesses and organizations run promotional and community events, including trivia and open mic nights, fundraising 5k’s, volunteer days, and crafting classes. A great way to advertise these events and to give both you and your participants more information is to create Facebook events.
For this action item, experiment with creating a Facebook event for one of your upcoming events. Facebook events allow you to list out all relevant information about your event–the date and time, the location, if tickets are required–in one place that is connected to your Facebook page without making your entire page about that one event. Try to include as much information as you can, and monitor your event as is approaches–you’ll be able to track RSVP’s and interact with interested participants through discussions in the event.
