On most social media platforms, having a good photo, video, or graphic can make or break a post. But it can be difficult when you’re sitting down to craft your social media posts to find the right photo among your albums, especially if you’ve been too busy to take any recent photos.

This is where this action item comes in: get into the habit of snapping a few photos relating to your business or organization every day. These could be product photos, photos of an event you put on, staff or customer photos, etc. (Be sure to check with those featured in your pictures if it’s okay to post them online.) These don’t have to be professional quality images or include a fancy setup, but getting into the habit of consistently taking photos will build up your bank of images to use when it comes time to create a social media post. It will also help you gain an eye for what works and what doesn’t when it comes to photography–perhaps you’ll pick up a new appreciation for lighting or photo editing along the way!
