
Social media is great for marketing and promoting your small business, but there’s so much more you can accomplish through it. One such example is customer service–social media is a great way to connect tangibly with individual customers and your audience as a whole, and many of your followers are following you for just that reason.
For this action item, consider ways that you can put customer service into action on social media. This can look like:
- Responding to comments, especially if you notice your audience is asking questions or providing feedback, whether positive or negative, in your comments.
- Similarly, responding to messages. Messages can sometimes go more in depth and require lengthier responses, but they’re also a great way to converse one-on-one with a customer or potential customer.
- Asking for feedback. Depending on the platform, this can mean adding a Questions box in your Instagram stories, or crafting a Call to Action asking for what your customers would like to see from you.
